The South West of England is renowned for the quality of the food and drink on offer in the region. The richness of the local produce , whether it’s the locally bred, grass fed beef or lamb, the poultry or pork, the fantastic freshly landed seafood ,or the wonderful array of vegetables or fruit grown here the offer is just superb.
The quality of this local produce means that there are numerous high quality food and drink outlets available for our guests to try. This could be anything from a high end restaurant from celebrity UK Chefs like Rick Stein, or one of the other amazing restaurants in the area. (For example TWO restaurants in Cornwall , Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw were just voted in the top 5 in the UK, and 4 in the top 30 or so! (Dec 2023) . There are also array of fine local cafes, country pubs, bakers or farm shops that we regularly visit.
Fantastic local drink producers are also plentiful- world class vineyards, breweries, superb gin, rum, Vodka , Cider or Whiskey producers , fruit juices, or even the only British tea producer who exports to China!
Many of these outlets and producers are local, regional or indeed international award winners and we are proud to offer these experiences to our clients as part of our tours. For your tour we can recommend a fantastic choice of food and drink options to visit or sample… from one of the producers or indeed simply the best place locally for fish and chips, a clotted cream tea or a genuine Cornish pasty… Please note… They will NOT contain carrot!
