Poldark Locations Tour (East)

Visit many of the iconic locations used in the show. The ancient harbour at Charlestown is home to magnificent tall ships, and you can almost see Ross strolling the quayside. Holywell Bay, where the Cave scenes were filmed is quite superb, and the cliff scene at Wheal Coates is archetype Cornish mining territory. We will also visit Bodmin Moor where we can see distant views of Nampara farmhouse (Privately owned, no public access).

See the Docs surgery, Mrs Titchells Pharmacy, The School House and much more! Stroll around the narrow streets of Port Wenn..but watch out for those teenage girls! Just an additional £95 fee fully inclusive for all passengers! The order we visit will depend on where you are staying, and this will be a 10 hour day probably, but hey…you are on vacation!

09.15: Ross Poldark
We’ll collect you from your hotel and head straight into Cornwall. Your guide will point out places of interest and tell you all about the history of Cornwall and of course about the life and times of Ross Poldark.

10.15: Charlestown
Charlestown features heavily in the series as the main port of Truro. Stroll the ancient harbour which dates back to the 1700s and gaze at the tall ships still docked along the quay.

11.15: Wheal Coates, St. Agnes
A truly spectacular cliff landscape, with the old Wheal Coates Mine perched precariously above the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

12.15: Lunch
The choice is yours – a country pub, cosy cafe or Cornish pasty picnic are all popular options.

13.30: Holywell Bay
The spectacular beach used in numerous scenes with the famous caves and well where Morwenna and Drake meet.

15.30: Bodmin Moor
Bodmin Moor including distant views of Nampara (ask about the limited availability of private access).
