Tour Itinerary

Day 1

09.00: History of Cornwall
Once we have collected you from your hotel, we’ll cross Cornwall as we head to St Michael’s Mount. Your guide will point out the many places of interest that we’ll pass and tell you about some of the wonderful Cornish history and stories on the route.

10.00: St Michael’s Mount
Once we arrive at St Michael’s Mount you’ll instantly be dazzled by the spectacular castle and the sea views. From the minute you catch the first glimpse, you’ll understand why they are considered some of the best in the UK!

Please note that reaching the island at St Michael’s Mount usually involves a 500m level walk along rough ground on the causeway and that getting to the castle involves a long, steep climb up uneven steps. If you are unable to undertake this, we will stop for photographs and then move on to alternative locations in West Cornwall which are more accessible.

12.15: Traditional Lunch
Next up we’ll stop for a delicious, traditional cornish pasty. Once you have sampled this great local fare, we’ll drive to the breathtaking Porthcurno.

13.00: Porthcurno
Prepare to be in awe at the almost Caribbean-esque beach at Porthcurno amidst the enchanting valley setting. Needless to say there are great photo opportunities here, not least from the spectacular Minack Theatre.

14.00: Botallack
Upon leaving this lovely corner of the country, we will make our way over to Botallack. An iconic Cornish spot, Botallack is home to the former mining engine houses, perched just above the crashing waves…you will be astonished with the tales of the iconic Cornish Tin and Copper mining industry which once led the world!

15.00: St Ives
Next up it’s a short drive to St Ives, a place regularly voted as the best UK seaside resort. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon wandering around this pretty town with the chance to visit the Tate gallery or the Hepworth Museum.

16.30:
Once you have finished all your exploring we will begin the scenic journey back to your hotel.
