The tour would take in the best of the County, including rugged Dartmoor, with its towering granite outcrops, spectacular scenery and iconic Dartmoor ponies. We’ll explore Princetown, location of the famous Dartmoor prison, follow in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles, and see the remains of Bronze Age settlements and hear the stories of our ancient ancestors who lived on these exposed moorlands over 3000 years ago.

Historic Plymouth was once the Maritime Capital of the World, and the starting point for countless voyages of discovery and exploration. Drake, Darwin, Captain Cook, The Mayflower and Many more all started from here, and a tour of this historic city is a do-not-miss experience.

Pretty South Devon, with its rolling countryside, picturesque villages and outstanding coastline, is a must. Dartmouth is a great starting point, with its superb river views, winding streets and superb church. A trip on the River Dart to see Agatha Christie’s summer home is also amazing. Slapton Sands, with its dark World War II secret, is a must, as is Start Point, with its magnificent views and lighthouse. Bigbury on Sea completes the trip, the offshore Island is reached by foot at low tide, or sea tractor boasts the Iconic Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, a favourite of Winston Churchill.

Historic Exeter with its Magnificent Cathedral, and the charming East Devon towns of Sidmouth and Beer could also be included, as could the wild North Devon coast, with places like Clovelly, Hartland Quay, Lynton and Lynmouth and the nearby Valley of the Rocks.
