We are delighted to welcome Kate Hopkins to the Select South West Tours guide team for 2026. Kate has lived on and around the Devon and Cornwall Coast for over 30 years, and still loves nothing better than exploring the regions best kept secrets. She is a member of the Institute of Tour Guides, and is passionate for sharing her enthusiasm for the history, culture and food of the region. Kate has a background in teaching and translating and has worked as a tour guide both in the UK and Japan. She is a keen hiker, and has set herself the goal of completing the South West coast path (all 630 miles , just the 300 to go!) by the end of 2026. From smuggling haunts to Moorland Mines, Cathedrals to Fishing Villages, Kate is eagerly anticipating guiding you to the best areas and secret corners of the beautiful South West.
