Our shepherds, with whom we have exclusive access, are both champion class and have both represented England at Sheepdog trials in international competitions. One is the current Sheepdog Trial Team Captain for England. You will see the inspiring partnership between man and working dog, including allowing novices right up to the dogs that have achieved national competition wins. There will be a chance to participate yourselves!
We will stop at a well known local inn on our return where you will have the choice of a pint of locally brewed ale, or sample a delicious clotted cream tea.

The waters of Plymouth sound are world famous, and here is your chance to spend a half day on a magnificent 38ft sailing boat, crewed by an experienced skipper. You’ll explore the very sound where the Mayflower set sail in 1620, where Captain Cook, Charles Darwin, Sir Frances Drake and many others set off on their historic voyages. A fantastic opportunity to go behind the scenes of the Manor house of one of the great families of Devon. Lived in by the same family for over 800 years, the owner will personally show you around the Tudor house in a “warts-and-all” tour, and tell you the history of this great estate. See the painting given to the family by Charles 1st, and hear the tales of the ancestors who were Cousins of Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Humphrey Gilbert!

This fantastic experience is not to be missed! Your private tour around the Impressive 200 year old Coastal Castle and Gardens at Caerhays starts after the daytime guests have left around 3:30 with a personal welcome by the Castle owner, Charles Williams.
A guided tour of the Castle follows, which was converted from a medieval manor house by the architect John Nash, who also designed London’s Marble Arch. and then Charles will take you on a personal tour of the Magnificent Gardens, “one of the great Woodland gardens of the world” and winner of the historic house’s garden of the year award in 2016.
